KSU meeting on clearance given to Ferro Alloys Company

 NONGSTOIN: The Khasi Student Union (KSU) called an emergency meeting on Tuesday at its office in Nongstoin in connection with the recent environmental clearance given by Meghalaya pollution Control Board to the Ferro Alloys Company to go ahead with its proposed factory at Porla West Khasi Hills.

President of the Union John Fischer Nongsiang told media here on Monday that the Union has decided to call series of agitation if the company goes ahead with its proposed factory sites at Porla which has been objected by a number of NGOs during the recent public hearing held at its site.
