Education must for every child

 SHILLONG: Deputy Chief Minister, Incharge of Sports and Youth Affairs Bindo M Lanong stated that the education is a must for every child and parents must understand the value of education and must encourage their children to go to school for their bright future.

Addressing the Parents’ Day Celebration of St. Mary’s Secondary school Nongkhrah, Ri Bhoi District held Thursday, Lanong asserted that students must aim high with a strong determination and also must work closely with their teachers for their all round development and also develop the habit of obedience.

Dr. C. Lyngdoh, the local MDC of Nongpoh Constituency besides other Government officials, teachers, students, parents and village elders were also present on the occasion.

The celebration was highlighted by songs and dances performed by the school children.
