Ex-Ar-Hima goalkeeper Nonkhlaw passes away

 SHILLONG: Former Ar-Hima goalkeeper Anthony Nongkhlaw passed away at Nazareth Hospital on Monday after he was admitted there following a cardiac arrest on Friday.

Nongkhlaw was currently playing with the Laitlyngkot Football Club in the Second Division League.

The goalkeeper had come to the ground for practice on Friday last before he was shifted to the hospital.

The former Ar-Hima goalkeeper was scheduled to play in the Super League match against Lumshyiap on Tuesday.

During his peak days, Nongkhlaw was among the top goalkeepers in the State. He would be laid to rest at the Catholic Church cemetery in Nongthymmai on Wednesday.
