SHILLONG: With a view to study and examine the Village Administration Bill 2011 at length, the Hima Mylliem (Mylliem Syiemship) has asked the KHADC to grant them a month and a half time to submit their decision.

The time frame to submit the bill to the KHADC was decided in a meeting convened by the Syiem (Chieftain) of Hima Mylliem, Latho Manik Syiem in presence of his Myntris and Lyngdohs (Chiefs) at the Office of the Hima Mylliem at Mawkhar here on Monday.

“I have sent a letter to the KHADC asking for a month and half time to submit our decision relating to the bill as we need to study the bill in detail”, Syiem of Hima Mylliem, Latho Manik Syiem told reporters after the meeting.

“The sole purpose of this meeting was to discuss at length on the decision of the KHADC to get the Village Administration Bill 2011 enforced within the Hima Mylliem”, Syiem added.

However, all Myntris and Lyngdohs were not present in the meeting citing that the date to hold the said meeting was issued very late by the KHADC that is on September 28.
