Kohima: Nagaland governor Nikhil Kumar has said the Right to Education (RTE) Act was a good concept of social conscience developed by the country and the state government should rightly and effectively implement it.

Gracing a variety show event of Cherry Blossoms School at State Academy Hall in Kohima last evening, the governor encouraged the students to participate in such event and said it was a good introduction to build up confidence amongst students.

To meet this end, he said both government and private schools in the state should give free and compulsory education to the elementary section. The opportunity should be given to every child to express oneself and would lead to character building, he said. (UNI)
