Mohali: England seamer Chris Woakes has been ruled out of the remaining three ODIs in India with a thigh strain, and will be replaced by Durham pacer Graham Onions.

Woakes has not played in either of England’s back-to-back defeats so far, in a five-match series which continues at Mohali tomorrow.

“England bowler Chris Woakes has today been ruled out of the remainder of England’s one-day international tour of India due to a left quadriceps strain,” the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said in a statement.

“Woakes suffered the injury on Sunday during England practice in Delhi and will now undertake a rehabilitation period that rules him out of the remaining three ODIs against India.

“Graham Onions has been called into the squad as a replacement.” (UNI)
