GSU for repairing of bridges in Garo Hills

 SHILLONG: The Garo Students Union Adokgre regional unit has asked the PWD minister HDR Lyngdoh to immediately repair many of the bridges in Garo Hills which are in depleted condition.

In a memorandum submitted to him recently, the GSU members stated that Pakrek timber bridge is partially collapsed and a notice has been served to the executive engineer PWD (Resubelpara division) earlier but no action has been taken so far.

The GSU has also asked for the early completion of the bridge number 19/2 over the Iidek river which is yet to be finished even as the construction of the bridge started 14 years ago.
