Concern over lack of devp in War Jaintia

 JOWAI: The Hynniewtrep National People Federation (HNPF) has blamed the local MLA Lahkmen Rymbai for lack of developmental activities within War Jaintia under Amlarem sub-division in Jaintia Hills district .

The HNPF has demanded all round development in the area and urged the MLA to fulfill his promises for the welfare of the people.

According to the release issued here by the HNPF president, Rymbai during his campaign in the last legislative Assembly elections had made tall claims of developmental activities in the area not to be taken up till today.

However, according to Rymbai, various developmental schemes are being implemented in the entire constituency. Some of the schemes sanctioned and implemented includes Tamabil combine water supply with a total project cost of Rs. 8 crore, Rs. 30 lakh each for construction of community halls at Jarain and Thangbuli village. Rs. 32 cr for construction of Multi-facitlity center at Khla-chympa Nongtalang.

Financial assistance were also provided to secondary schools including Amwi Secondary School, Syndai Secondary School, Syiem jingsuk Secondary school for building extension and construction of girl’s hostel. He further informed that roads were also taken note and the government has sanctioned for widening of Mustem- Nongtalang road, Mupyut-Moosakhia road, Tarangblang –Amlarem road, the construction of Kudengrim-Kudeng thymmai road is under progress.The MLA also informed that inauguration of the Sub-treasury office and the PHE Sub-division will be done in October and November this year.
