Security tightened after twin blasts in Imphal

Imphal: Security was beefed up on Thursday in Imphal following twin blasts at Thangal bazaar here last night, which left altogether six people injured.

Police said suspected militants could have planted IEDs. Ahead of the Ningol Chakkouba, one of the biggest festivals of the state, scheduled to be held tomorrow, there was rush in the market areas, police added.

Police were deputed in large numbers specially at the market areas. (UNI)
