State level Congress

The State Council of Science, Technology and Environment (SCSTE) is organising a one-day ‘State Level Congress’ under the 19th National Children’s Science Congress, 2011in the premises of Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides from 10am onwards on Thursday. Meghalaya Science and Technology Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh will be the chief guest.

Free health camp

The BSW III year students from the Department of Social Work, St Edmund’s College will be organising a free general health camp for the community members in Mawkyrwat with Bethany Society in collaboration with the community health centre (CHC, Mawkyrwat) and sponsored by Ardhendu Charitable Trust, Avenues and Power Grid at Sngap Syiem College, Mawkyrwat from 10am onwards on November 4.

MUPSTA meet

The Meghalya Upper Primary School Teachers Association (MUPSTA), Khliehriat Sub-Division at Jaintia Hills organised its general meeting recently at Government Lower Primary School at Khliehriat East whereby issues relating to the functioning of the association were discussed. They will organise another general meeting on the second week of December to elect new office bearers.

Food festival

The All Saints Cathedral Youth Fellowship will organise the ‘A Food Festival cum Jamboree’ at All Saints Cathedral Hall from 10am onwards on Friday.

 Meeting

The meeting of the Meghalaya Small Savings Agents Association (MSSAA), Shillong will be held on November 4 at 3pm at the premises of Jagannath Mandir (Opera Hall), Thana Road.

 HANM concern

The Hynniewtrep Achik National Movement, East Khasi Hills has expressed their disappointment over the inability of the state government to immediately shift the sweepers and harijans from their lane at Them Mawlong to the building opposite the Former Chief Minister, DD Lapang’s official residence.
