Youth threatened for filing RTI

 SHILLONG: A youth from Mawkneng village under Mawphlang Block Curtis Rani on Wednesday filed a complaint with East Khasi Hills SP AR Mawthoh that he is being threatened for filing an RTI relating to the implementation of the MGNREGS in his village.

Rani in his complaint informed that he has been summoned by the village Dorbar Shnong on November 4 at Mawkneng Unit Congress office to explain why he had filed an RTI.

Replying to a query, Rani said that the RTI documents which he had received reveals some shocking facts about the manipulation in the implementation of the scheme.
