Guwahati: A tea-based soft drink, the first of its kind, will be launched at the World Tea Science Congress to be held later this month at Jorhat.

The drink, developed by Tocklai Experimental Station in Assam, would have a shelf life of six months and will be promoted as a health drink. It will contain permissible flavour, Research Station’s Director M Hazarika said. “The tea liquor based non-carbonated soft drink targetted for the younger generation would be launched at the World Tea Science Congress to be held from November 22 to 24 at Jorhat,” he said.
