BHAGALPUR (BIHAR): The BJP today slammed Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh for allegedly casting aspersions on social activist Anna Hazare and the saffron party.
“Singh is always trying to defame the BJP as well as Anna Hazare…it seems that he has taken a contract for it,” BJP spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain told reporters here. He claimed that BJP leader L K Advani’s ‘Jan Chetna Yatra’ had made the Congress “desperate and afraid” and therefore the party leaders were indulging in mud-slinging against BJP and Hazare.
In his latest verbal attack, Digvijay, said “simpleton” Anna Hazare was being made a scapegoat to fulfil the political ambitions of some “very smart people” in his own team. (PTI)
