KSU seeks clarification

 NONGSTOIN: The KSU Lai Hima Circle of West Khasi Hills district in a meeting held on Monday decided to demand the Government to speed up the ongoing NH-44E two lining road construction and also land compensation payment to the affected private land owners.

As per the statements of the PWD (road) and land revenue department, payment upto 80 feet way from the existing PWD road to the private land owners has been made so far. However, the land owners claimed that they have received payment up to 50 feet only.

In this connection the Union has sought clarification from the government It may here be mentioned that none of the private land owners under Hima Myriaw Syiemship has received any payment till date. The KSU has demanded speeding up of the payment.
