Keep offices closed on State holidays: KSU

 SHILLONG: With Nongkrem dance being a State holiday, the KSU members of Mawkhar and Jaiaw Circle directed various mobile service providers in the city to close down their offices.

The KSU members said that the mobile service providers should have declared a holiday for their staff since it is an important festival.“This is clear indication that they are not respecting the sentiments of the people of the State,” KSU Mawkhar Circle president Fedrick Myrthong said while speaking to reporters Myrthong said that the companies’ offices should be closed on any State holiday from now onwards.The offices which were closed down on Wednesday belonged to Reliance, Vodafone, Aircel etc
