CPC valedictory prog on Nov 12

 SHILLONG: The valedictory function of Central Puja Committee (CPC) will be held on November 12 at 3:45pm at Bangiya Sahitya Parishad, Jail Road.

The CPC has decided to dedicate this year’s function in memory of Dr Bhupen Hazarika who expired on November 5 in Mumbai. Union Minister of State for Water Resources Vincent H Pala and Deputy Bindo M Lanong, Deputy Chief Minister, Meghalaya will attend the function as chief guest and guest of honour respectively.

The CPC will also confer its annual award “Sarad Sanman” on Dr S Lamare, Hironmoy Dhar, Afzal Hossain, BB Chettri and Uma Purkayastha.
