Shillong: One Rakku D Shira on Thursday filed an FIR against Langrin MLA Martin M Danggo and three others in an assault case.
As per the FIR filed at Sadar Police Station on Thursday, Rakku alleged that on October 31 at around 6 pm, he had visited Danggo’s official residence for obtaining some border road permission.
“At that point they were having dinner and I was also told to join,” he stated, while adding that at around 9.30 pm Danggo, along with his special assistants Hilarius D Sangma and Nelbi T Sangma, his PSO and the gatekeeper, Parseas D Shira, who were intoxicated, assaulted him by kicking him on his head and face.
Later, the personal assistant of the legislator filed an FIR against him and got him arrested on false charges, Rakku alleged.
Meanwhile, when contacted, Danggo was not available for comments.
