Complaint against finance company

 JOWAI: NGOs in Jaintia Hills including the All Jaintia Youth Welfare Organisation (AJYWO), the Hynniewtrep National Youth Front (HNYF), Khliehriat Circle and the Jaintia Students’ Union (JSU) jointly filed an FIR with Ladrymbai plice on Friday against the officials of the Matribhumi Networking (India) Pvt. Ltd) for alledgedly swindling several crores of rupees from costumers on the pretext of financial schemes.

Officials of the company including the Mananging Director, Gautam Dev, Directors-Arup Dam and Jubankar, senior agents- Degendra Das and Pravash Das along with the branch Manager, Ladrymbai branch, Chandan Choudhury all of Karimganj District, Assam were named in the complaint.

“We have requested the police to trace all the persons named in the complaint and bring them to book”, said AJYWO President, MH Dkhar.

The AJYWO jointly with the JSU and HNYF has also asked all agents still collecting money from costumers in Khliehriat and Amlarem branches to discontinue with their jobs immediately. Earlier, in a joint FIR, 62 agents of Matribhumi Networking India Ltd. — a network finance company operating at Ladrymbai in Jaintia Hills — lodged a police complaint against the company for duping customers to the tune of several crore rupees.

According to the FIR lodged with Ladrymbai Police, the agents alleged that the said Company had suddenly disappeared with an amount in excess of Rs 1.5 crore collected only by the 62 agents from the people of the district.
