SHILLONG: Chief Adviser to the government of Meghalaya and local MLA DD Lapang has stressed on mental and physical cleanliness besides the overall cleanliness of the locality saying “It takes a great deal to clean our own thoughts than cleaning our community.”
Highlighting this point at the one-day training programme on cleanliness at Nongpoh, Ri Bhoi on Saturday, Lapang said sometimes people concentrate on their outlook appearance and care less about their inward nature. The programme was also attended by chairman of Nongpoh Town Committee CB Syiemand others.Later, the locals moved out to take part in the cleaning drive all along the National Highway 40 stretch and allround Nongpoh locality.
