Major arms haul by Manipur Police

IMPHAL: Manipur police recovered a cache of arms and ammunition of the militant outfit Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) at Phumlou Shiphai village in Imphal West district on Sunday night.

The recovery of the weapons was made following a raid conducted based on the disclosure made by four arrested activists of the KCP (Lamyanba Khuman group) from a house at Uripok Canteen Leikai in Imphal.

The recovered weapons included a magazine of AK rifles loaded with 60 live rounds, on grenade launcher modified from 0.303 rifle with four RPGs, three hand grenades with detonators, on sten machine gun loaded with 10 live rounds, two magazine pouch, one 9 mm magazine and two walky-talky sets, a police source said.
