Meghalaya Assembly Speaker Charles Pyngrope hands over a cheque of Rs 1 lakh from Journalist Welfare Fund to Mrs Ivy Lyngdoh, wife of Late GW Pohti, a senior journalist, at the valedictory session of National Press Day Celebration in city on Wednesday. The Journalist Welfare Fund is created to financially assist media persons and their families in distress. (ST)
