SHILLONG: The residents of Laitkor have criticized the Rangbah Shnong of Laitkor Nongdaneng L Arun Mawrie for his recent remark against local MLA Ardent M Basaiawmoit.
Defending the local MLA, the residents said “the MLA has done a good thing by inaugurating the much-awaited water supply scheme.
“We were shocked by Mawrie’s statement where he said that the Dorbar Shnong were angry over the sudden desire of Ardent to inaugurate this water Supply scheme at Laitkor,” the residents said in a statement issued here on Thursday.
