East Khasi Hills thrash All Jaintia

SHILLONG: East Khasi Hills thrashed All Jaintia Cricket Association by 85 runs in a league match of the U-19 Inter District Cricket Tournament here on Saturday. East Khasi Hills’ decision to bat first after winning the toss did not yield the desired resut as the team managed a modest total of 147 for the loss of 10 wickets in 30.3 overs. Narendra Deka scored a brilliant run a ball 94 to rescue the batting side. Deibormi Rngad of All Jaintia continued his good form with the bowl claiming four wickets while conceding 47 runs. In reply All Jaintia were bundled out for a paltry 62 runs with Y. Patwet (11) as the highest scorer. Pynshngain Dkhar bagged four wickets for East Khasi Hills while conceding only 17 runs. Shillong Cricket Association will play Ri-Bhoi District Cricket Association in Sunday’s match.
