SHILLONG: The BSF on Saturday apprehended a Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) cadre from West Garo Hills while he was attempting to infiltrate into India from across the international border. The cadre has been identified as Tobiash Ch Marak alias Changdul Ch Marak hailing from Chokpot in South Garo Hills. A pistol (7.65mm), a magazine, three rounds of ammunition, a cell phone, four demand notes and a GNLA identity card signed by ‘commander-in-chief’ Sohan D Shira were recovered from his possession.
