Rural Development ministry sanctions proposal

Guwahati: The Union Rural Development Ministry would sanction the remaining proposals for connecting more than 1000 habitations under Bharat Nirman programme in Assam. In a letter to Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, Union Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh said that the ministry has also sanctioned the construction of 400 bridges, with the length of 105 bridges more than 50 metres, an official release said here on Friday.
