Bessiely Terang

Mrs Bessiely Terang, wife of (late) Oriwell Terang, passed away on Sunday at Laimer, Upper Shillong. Her funeral will be held on Monday at 2 pm at the Nongkseh Presbyterian Cemetery.

 P M Nongbet

Peace Millian Nongbet, resident of Laban, passed away on Saturday. Her funeral will be held at 2 pm at Laban Presbyterian Cemetery, Lawsohtun on Monday.

The Shillong Times first appeared as a tabloid weekly on 10th August 1945 under the editorship of Late Sudhindra Bhusan Chaudhuri. In 1958 it was converted to a Daily. Owing to financial constraints, within six months it reverted back to a weekly.
