‘Ban’ on parking of SPTS buses in MTC Depot

 SHILLONG: The Megha-laya Transport Corporation Workers’ Union (MTCWU) has decided to ‘ban’ the parking of SPTS buses in the MTC Depot saying that these buses do not belong to the MTC as it is only a custodian of these buses.

The MTCWU took this after declaring a three-day strike starting from Monday.

Though the state government announced to release their pending salaries by this week but it failed to break the ice.

The MTCWU is now demanding payment arrears. The MTC officials on Monday assured to release 50 per cent of arrears.The union, which is demanding payment of 70 per cent of areas, will decide whether to accept this offer or not in its meeting on Tuesday.
