SHILLONG: The residents of Nongtalang village, Jaintia Hills have expressed concern over the engagement of many local and non-local youths in unpleasant acts within the village which has brought a bad name to the locality as a whole.

The KSU Nongtalang unit has condemned this and warned all those involving in such acts failing which serious action would be taken against them.

“Such acts not only tarnish the image of the locality but also of the indigenous community as a whole”, KSU Nongtalang Unit General Secretary L Poshna told this reporter here on Monday.
