Arrest shows the truth: Purno

Former Lok Sabha Speaker PA Sangma who was recently accused indirectly of ‘eulogizing’ militants allegedly by Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma has hit back at his opponent following the arrest of the youth congress leader.

“I have always said anyone can come to my house and find all the good things that this world can offer. But one thing you will never get is a weapon in my house. I am against gun culture and violence,” said Sangma.

He accused the Chief Minister of attacking him and his party without first establishing any fact or evidence.

“The arrest of a Congress leader by Shillong police for links with a militant group has proven without doubt who is supporting which group,” he added.
