TURA: Preparations are on in full swing to commemorate the death anniversary of the freedom fighter from Garo Hills, Pa Togan Nengminza on November 12 at Chisobibra park, near Williamnagar. It was at Chisobibra that Pa Togan made his last stand as he led his brave men into a pitched battle against the invading british forces. He ultimately fell in battle paving the way for the invading force to occupy the Garo Hills region. In memory of the valiant fighter a cenotaph was erected at Chisobibra and every year his death anniversary is observed in a befitting manner. This year, the organizers are expecting a large turnout of people for the observance and special arrangements have been made to accommodate the visitors.
