Membership drive

The Indian Youth Congress, the youth wing of the Indian National Congress has announced that following its membership drive, it will begin the process of scrutiny of the voter list in preparation for its historic upcoming organizational elections.

 Election

The Mawkyrwat Block Congress Committee held on Wednesday decided to forward the name of Deputy Chief Minister In charge of Health, Rowell Lyngdoh as the candidate for the coming election of 2013 from the Congress party.

Cleaning drive

The Dorbar Dong Nongpathaw, Mawlai Mawdatbaki will conduct a cleaning drive in the locality on December 12 from 8am onwards.

 Concert

The Shillong City Entertainment Network Enterprise (SCENE) in association with Adhunik Cement is organizing a Beatles Tribute Concert titled ‘The Magical Mystery Tour’ with the UK based band. The counterfeit Beatles will perform at the U Soso Tham Auditorium from 4pm onwards on Friday.

 Discussion

As a mark to commemorate its 19 years of existence, the Lympung ki Seng Kynthei will hold a discussion on the ‘Village Administrative Bill 2011’ prepared by the KHADC.

Gospel Concert

The Ieng Rasong Sports Social and Cultural Club will organize the Pre Advance Christmas Gospel Concert at U Soso Tham Auditorium which will be attended by GAD Minister AL Hek.

 Winter hockey coaching camp

Meghalaya State Hockey Association (MSHA) will be hosting a “Winter Hockey Coaching Camp” from December 12 tentatively at Polo Ground. This is an effort to revive the National Game in the State.

 Public Meet

To welcome the merger of KHNAM with UDP, the party has arranged a public meeting on December 12 at 11:30am at Laban Sports Club Ground. The office bearers, leaders, members and well wishers of the party are requested to attend the public meeting.
