 TURA: A one-day Special Interactive Programme (SIP) was on Wednesday organized at Wakkagre, under Betasing C & RD Block by the Office of the Public Relations Officer, West Garo Hills, Ampati.

The Block Development Officer, Betasing, S N Sangma, addressing the gathering said that the Information and Public Relations department was essential in bridging the gap between the common man and the government.

Stressing on the MREGS he at length talked on various government schemes that can be availed through different government departments. He also informed that the Information and Public Relations department was a tool to educate and create awareness among the people of current affairs and convey necessary information to the populace.
