NONGSTOIN: The Chairman of Meghalaya Reform Development Forum Hoping Stone Lyngdoh has urged people of Diskiang villages and other areas of West Khasi Hills to maintain community and personal hygiene to ensure that Meghalaya achieves Total Sanitation Campaign (TSC) goal by 2017.

The Diskiang village is the lone village of West Khasi Hills which received this year’s Nirmal Gram Puraskar.

The village received the cash award at the impressive function held on Friday at Diskiang village.

Speaking on the occasion, Lyngdoh said the main objective of the Nirmal Gram Puraskar was to bring about greater awareness about sanitation.
