Traders given deadline to procure license

 TURA: The FKJGP has issued a warning stating that stringent action would be taken against all traders without any valid TNT licenses operating in Tura. Talking to The Shillong Times the General Secretary of the FKJGP, Tura Unit, Raksrang A Sangma said that the Federation has given December 16th for traders operating in Tura to procure their licenses from the concerned authorities failing which the FKJGP would take the matter into their own hands.

Sangma said that the deadline issued was meant for all traders including migrant hawkers, foot path vendors and stationary shop owners. The Federation has urged concerned authorities to look into the matter and facilitate the issuing of TNT licenses to traders before the deadline. The federation will also conduct surprise visits to weekly markets and confiscate goods if the deadline is not met, Sangma said.
