GUWAHATI: Culprits behind the killing of a royal Bengal tigress inside the Kaziranga National Park will be brought to book, Assam Forest Minister Rockybul Hussain on Sunday said.

“We have ordered a probe and hopefully the culprits will be brought to book,” Hussain said after visiting the park, a world heritage site, along with top forest officials.

“Within a fortnight the probe report will be prepared and the culprits will be punished,” he said.

The tigress which strayed out of its habitat killed a pig and injured a security man before the police commandos shot it dead in “self defence” last week. (PTI)
