Red Cross team visits Nagaland

KOHIMA: Deputy Head of Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), New Delhi, Simon Peter Brooks is currently in Nagaland. He paid a visit to the office of the Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland (IRCSN) State Branch at Kohima.

According to Nagaland Red Cross Society sources, Mr Brooks was accompanied by Anukha Cumbernos, Focal Person for North East India, International Committee of the Red Cross. During his interaction with the Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland yesterday, Mr Brooks said he was overwhelmed by the hospitality and kindness of the Naga people.

He said the International Committee of the Red Cross was here to strengthen the partnership and work together with the local Red Cross as it was the best way to help communities. Mr Brooks also visited WW II Cemetery, Kohima village and WW II Museum at Kisama. (UNI)
