Masterplan to streamline agri-allied dept: Sena

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Minister for Agriculture, Horticulture and Animal Husbandry Setong Sena on Thursday asked his department officers to be more proactive and converge the technical knowhow and share it with the farmers so that they are benefited.

A masterplan will be prepared to streamline the activities of agri-allied departments to benefit the farmers, he said.

Inaugurating a two-day fish festival cum Kishan Mela, a technology out to reach programme being organiSed by Papum Pare district Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) at Balijan, Sena said, it is a very important festival and the stepping stone to making the state a self sustained one.

Sena advised that such festival should be organized in all the districts at regular intervals so as to make the farmers aware of the latest technology in the agriculture and allied sectors and give them the required opportunity to sell their products.

Considering the importance of Agriculture and Allied departments in making the state self reliant and economically developed, the Agriculture and allied department would be given top priority in the coming years. He informed and invited the youths to explore the vast potential of Agriculture and its allied departments. (UNI)
