Health mela

The health and family welfare will organise a two-day health mela at Sohiong CHC on December 16 and 17 and there will be a free medical and health check up during the two-day health mela.

Cleaning drive

The Dorbar Shnong Lama Villa will organize a cleaning drive on December 17 from 7 am onwards and the road will remain closed on that day till the cleaning drive is completed. Similar cleaning drives are being organised by the Keating Road Welfare Organisation and Laban Dorbar Shnong at Keating Road and Laban area. The Mawlai Nongkwar Durbar Shnong will organize a cleaning drive on December 19 from 8am to 1pm. Lumshyiap Dorbar Shnong will hold a cleaning drive on Saturday.

Reunion prog

A reunion programme of old students of St John’s Whitehall will be held on December 17 on the school premises from 2pm onwards. All ex-student desirous of attending the reunion are requested to register themselves before 2 pm.

New committee

The general meeting of Ka Seng Kynthei Lummawrie, which was held on December 12 at the Laitumkhrah Presbyterian Higher Secondary School, formed a new committee. The new office-bearers are B Lyndem, president, Mrs M Nongrum, vice-president, M. Gatphoh, general secretary, B. Sohkhlet, asst. general secretary and GK Sohkhlet, treasurer. and ten Executive Members.

 Campaign

The 6th statewide mass mobilization campaign of aquaculture mission will be held at Mawngap stadium on December 17 from 11am. The Chairman of MTDC will attend the programme at the chief guest. Three development blocks Mawphlang, Mawsynram Ranikor will be covered in the programme.
