SHILLONG The silver jubilee celebration of Dorbar Shnong Lum Kshaid concluded on Thursday with the felicitation of the former Rangbah Shnong and prominent personalities of the locality.
The first Rangbah Shnong Boston Rose Syiem was among those who were felicitated on the occasion which was grace by Power Minister AT Mondal, Urban Affairs Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh, Chief Secretary WMS Pariat and local MLA and Silver Jubilee Celebration Committee chief patron Paul Lyngdoh.
Speaking on the occasion, Mondal said it was the contribution of each and every member of the locality which had shapes the locality in this way.
“The Power Department has very close connection with this locality since the Sunapani Mini Hydel Project, one of the oldest projects in the country, is located in Lumkshaid,” the Power Minister said.
On the occasion, Mondal also released the Silver Jubilee souvenir.
