Birth Anniversary
The 158th Birth Anniversary of Holy Mother Sarada Devi will be celebrated in Ramakrishna Mission, Shillong on December 17. The anniversary programme will start with Mangalarati, Vedic Chanting, Bhajan, Special Puja, Homa (Yagya), Matrinam and culminate with Bhog and Prasad distribution.
Parent’s Day
The BK Bajoria School, Shillong is celebrating Parent’s Day on December 17 at 12 noon at the School Auditorium. Deputy Chief Minister BM Lanong will be the chief guest on the occasion.
Golden jubilee
Nongkrem Secondary School, Nongkrem will observe the golden jubilee celebration closing ceremony at Mawryntong playground, Nongkrem on December 20 at 11 am.Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma will be the chief g uest on the occasion.The school authorities has invited all past pupils and teachers to attend the function.
Cleaning drive
Lumshyiap Dorbar Shnong would hold the cleaning drive on Saturday. The Dorbar has requested all the people in the locality to come and clean their respective areas.Meanwhile, the Laban Dorbar Shnong would also organise a cleaning drive on this day from 8 am onwards.The Dorbar Shnong has called upon all the residents and the shopkeepers of Laban to take part in the cleaning drive.
