SHILLONG: Rup Pariat of Lawmali Pyllun, Shillong was awarded the ‘Bharat Excellence Award” and “North-East Golden Personality Award” on November 27, 2011 at New Delhi for his sincere efforts to uplift the local talents of the region by creating platforms and opportunities since last decade apart from his social works.
This award was conferred by Friends Forum of India, New Delhi. He was felicitated with a gold medal, mementos and certificates.
Rup Pariat is also the founder of Menorah Sports & Cultural Club, President of Megha Rockers Dance Academy, active member of Nepali Durga Puja and Goreto Socio-Cultural & Welfare Society, Pynthorumkhrah, Shillong. He is presently working at NEEPCO PF Trust.
