Bandh cripples life in Manipur

Imphal: A 24-hour bandh called by JAC against the alleged killing of a chowkidar of Irilbung water Supply Scheme and his son, affected the normal life here on Tuesday. All inter and intra passenger services were cancelled and all educational and business establishments were also closed down.

The JAC is demanding resignation of CE, Public Health Engineering Department (PHED).

Soram Ibomcha, chawkidar of Irilbung water supply scheme of the PHED and his son Geetchandra (22) were killed on December 16 allegedly by the cadres of KCP Kesho Meitei group over a ransom amount of Rs 20 lakh. (UNI)
