NEW DELHI: For the first time Mr. Amrit Lal Saha, President of Consumers’ Protection Association( CPA India), from Northeast took charge as Chairman of the Consumer Coordination Council (CCC), apex national body of consumer associations.
While Saha took over the charge of Chairman, Mr. Reddy became Vice Chairman of CCC with immediate effect. This was followed by oath taking ceremony by the chairman and vice chairman.
Representatives from different consumer organizations were present in the meeting and shared their views on strengthening the consumer movement in India. Representative from GIZ (German International Co-operation) was present in the meeting.
Mr. Saha who is based at Agartala welcomed the participants and assured them to strengthen the activities of CCC with a focused strategy.
