SHILLONG: The Managing Committee (MC) Members, teachers and staff of The Shillong Secondary School condoled the demise of Umapada Deb, retired headmaster and secretary of the school in a meeting at the school premises. Deb passed away on December 23 at his residence in Oakland.
Dr SK Chattapadhyay, President, MC in the meeting recalled the immense contribution of Mr Deb towards development of the school.
Other MC members and teachers also recalled his devoted endeavor which helped the institution to come in its present form. The meeting expressed sympathy to the members of the bereaved family .
