NHRC notice to Tripura govt, BSF

AGARTALA: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has issued notices to the Director General of BSF, the DGP of Tripura Police, the District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Police of North Tripura over the alleged killing of a villager in the state’s northern border in October.

Officials here on Friday said that one Mubarak Ali died in a reported skirmish between the Border Security Force personnel and some villagers at Laxmipur of Kailashahar when the border guards had detained a smuggler at the border point. (UNI)
