NONGSTOIN: The NSS Unit, Nongstoin College organized a week long “Special Camping Programme”, at the adopted village of Sangriang from Dec 12 -18.
Various social activities were conducted such as construction of concrete and Kaccha foot path, white washing of school buildings and village Durbar Hall, Street cleaning drive and also helping the village in colouring the dustbins and setting it along the village locality.There were also Special Awareness Programmes like the 2 day ‘Disaster Awareness cum Training’, Nutrition programme, Free Medical camp, HIV/AIDS programme as well as programme on environmental cleanliness.The camp was attended by 78 NSS Volunteers including college lecturers.
