JOWAI: The District Executive Committee (DEC) meeting of the United Democratic Party (UDP) in Jaintia Hills district held on Thursday s constituted the Election Committee in which the UDP district president and former Jowai MLA, Singh Mulieh was the chairman.
The Election Committee has called for an application from any individual who wishes to contest the election from the party ticket in the next general assembly election in 2013.
Speaking to The Shillong Times, UDP District President, Singh Mulieh informed that the last date for submission of the application is on or before 31 January, 2013.
Meanwhile, he informed that the party has strengthening all its circle and units in the district.
