 JOWAI: One Santosh Langstang (25) of Narran village in Jaintia Hills district was allegedly murdered by a group of four people at a place called wah Ummrynsoo near Cham Cham village in Jaintia Hills on Sunday evening.
Sources informed that Langstang was walking to his labour camp along with his four friends and while on the way, he demanded back his money Rs 10500 that was given to one of his friends as loan.
The friend had failed to repay the loan given sometime ago. In the process ,an argument erupted between them and two of the accused killed him with a pickaxe and later, they even tried to conceal his body in a jungle nearby.Ladrymbai police have arrested two persons in this connection while two others are still absconding.
