SHILLONG: In a heinous crime, on Monday at about 11am, one Marnes Lyngdoh Nongrang (24) attempted to rape a girl in her house at Mawlai Mawtawar area of the city.
After his failed first attempt, Marnes later at around 3 pm on the same day raped the mother of the girl at Mawlai Mawtawar.
Police have arrested the accused person.
