London: Pop sensations Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber have been named the most charitable stars of 2011.

The 25-year-old ‘Juds’ hitmakera, who is a vocal campaigner for gay rights, came in at number one on the Celebs Gone Good Top 20 list, compiled by DoSomething.org, which praises stars for their philanthropic efforts over the last 12 months, reported Femalefirst online.

‘Baby’ hitmaker Bieber claimed second place, just days after he made a pre-Christmas trip to visit a local food bank in his native Canada.

The 17-year-old singer is also a supporter of children’s charity Pencils of Promise, while he has vowed to donate some of the proceeds from his newly-released holiday album, ‘Under The Mistletoe’, to charity.

Hollywood actor George Clooney was in third place, ahead of Will Smith and his wife Jada and eco-friendly star Leonardo DiCaprio. Philanthropic couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie came in eighth. (PTI)
